Built by operators who have shipped before.
SkyeConnex was founded in Ottawa, Canada to make data sovereignty enforceable at the data layer — not promised in a contract. The team has built and exited enterprise infrastructure before, and is building this one for the regulated buyers who can no longer accept "trust us."
The thesis
Trust models scale with relationships. Mathematical guarantees scale with files. Every previous sovereign cloud offering has been a relationship: with a national champion provider, with a regional reseller, with a contractual framework. SkyeConnex's design choice is to encode the guarantee in the data itself.
That decision shapes everything: the cryptographic stack is FIPS-only so the certification path is months not years; the storage substrate is multi-cloud RAID rather than multi-cloud sync; the sovereignty surface is a real-time view rather than a quarterly audit. See the architecture.
Where we are
The platform is in production at app.skyeconnex.com. More than 400 HTTP API endpoints. 14 storage provider plugins. Six client surfaces. A sovereign on-prem GPU embedding subsystem. Post-quantum encryption (FIPS 203 ML-KEM-1024) and post-quantum signatures (FIPS 204 ML-DSA-87) shipping today.
A 90-day pilot proposal is in the hands of the Honourable David McGuinty, Minister of National Defence. Active executive engagement is in train at Treasury Board, Health Canada, the federal cyber team, and at the Senate level. The Standards Council of Canada has engaged us through its Technical Committee on Data Sovereignty. BARC briefed our architecture and characterised SkyeConnex as the first and only operational implementation of the patterns their findings describe. Gartner has been briefed.
