SkyeConnex Appoints Former Microsoft CVP Brad Anderson to Its Board of Directors
The Microsoft leader who drove the acquisition of Ross Norrie’s AssetMetrix in 2006 reunites with him as SkyeConnex brings Data Sovereignty as a Service to market.
OTTAWA, ON — October 6, 2026 — SkyeConnex, the Data Sovereignty as a Service (DSaaS) company, today announced the appointment of Brad Anderson to its Board of Directors. Anderson is a former Microsoft Corporate Vice President whose work across enterprise management, security and Microsoft 365 helped shape how organizations worldwide run their technology. He later served as President of Products, User Experience and Engineering at Qualtrics.
A proven pairing
The appointment reunites Anderson with SkyeConnex CEO, Founder and Architect Ross Norrie. In 2006, Anderson drove Microsoft’s acquisition of AssetMetrix, the IT SaaS platform Norrie founded and built. It became a foundation of Microsoft Intune, which grew under Anderson’s leadership into a service organizations around the world rely on today. Norrie saw where the market was going and built for it. Anderson turned it into a global business. Twenty years later, Norrie has architected the answer to the next question, who actually controls our data, and Anderson is back to help take it to market.
Trust is the new commodity. Data is the new asset.
Governments and regulators around the world now tell organizations to assume breach. The question is no longer whether attackers get in, but what they can reach. SkyeConnex makes sure no single provider, government or insider can read or control an organization’s data, delivered as a service on the clouds it already uses. The company named ThinkOn its first strategic partner on September 29.
What Anderson brings
Anderson is known for picking the right leaders and getting them to perform beyond what they thought possible, with an integrity that has earned deep loyalty from the people who worked with and for him. On the SkyeConnex board, he will focus on go-to-market strategy, priority setting, strategic introductions, execution governance and attracting the talent to scale.
“Every organization is asking who actually controls its data. Ottawa now tells its departments to assume breach, so the real question is what a breach can reach. We answer it with architecture, not paperwork. Brad is one of the best operators this industry has produced, and nobody is better at getting the right people on the bus and getting it done at global scale.”
— Ross Norrie, CEO, Founder and Architect of SkyeConnex
“For too long, the industry has assumed a contract or a fortified perimeter could keep data safe. SkyeConnex changes the rules of engagement. By securing data from the inside out, it takes the payoff out of a perimeter breach. Ross has architected the future of data protection, and I’m thrilled to help take it global.”
— Brad Anderson, Board of Directors, SkyeConnex
Anderson joins a Board of Directors that includes Board Chair Patricia McCunn-Miller, Tim McCunn, Eli Fathi, C.M., and Don Gibbs, CPA, CMA.
