OTTAWA and CALGARY, Canada — October 1, 2026 — SkyeConnex Corporation, of Ottawa, Canada, provider of a Data Sovereignty as a Service (DSaaS) platform powered by its Raidr.cloud engine, and Q-M Networks Inc., of Calgary, Canada, developer of a quantum-safe, cloud-native mobile network designed to deploy as a facilities-based operator (MNO) on its own licensed spectrum where a community needs coverage, or as a virtual operator (MVNO) across a host network, today announced a strategic alignment to advance a shared reference architecture for quantum-resilient data sovereignty in Canada covering data in transit and data at rest.

The collaboration pairs two purpose-built, “zero-legacy” architectures: Q-M Networks’ quantum-safe network architecture, designed to protect authentication, routing, and data sessions from interception as they move across the network; and SkyeConnex’s Raidr.cloud engine, designed to encrypt, erasure-code, and jurisdictionally distribute data at rest so that no single provider, and no legal order directed at any one provider, can reconstruct a readable file. Together, the companies are developing a joint reference architecture and co-authored narrative addressing a question increasingly facing Canadian government and enterprise buyers: who controls your data, at every layer it touches, and can that control be evidenced rather than simply promised.

“Compelled disclosure law, cross-border data disputes, and ‘harvest now, decrypt later’ collection all point to the same gap: sovereignty claims that rely on policy and contract language rather than verifiable architecture. Aligning our storage-layer approach with a transport layer designed to be quantum-safe from day one lets us describe a more complete answer to that question for Canadian public-sector and regulated-industry buyers.”

— Ross Norrie, CEO/Founder of SkyeConnex

“Most carriers are years into planning a post-quantum migration on top of live, legacy networks. We are building from the other side of that gap. Our architecture is designed to be deployed as a facilities-based operator on our own spectrum where a community needs coverage, or to extend across a host network where that fits better, with the same quantum-safe protection travelling either way. Pairing our approach to the wire with SkyeConnex’s approach to storage lets us speak to the full data lifecycle, not just the segment either of us covers alone.”

— Brent Grisdale, founder of Q-M Networks

About the Collaboration

This is a Stage 1 strategic alignment. At this stage, the companies are:

  • Co-developing a joint reference diagram and shared narrative describing how a quantum-safe transport layer and a sovereign, erasure-coded storage layer address compelled-disclosure risk at each surface independently — and could complement each other when deployed together across the full data path.
  • Referencing public standards and guidance relevant to Canadian buyers, including Canada’s post-quantum migration timelines (Canadian Centre for Cyber Security, ITSM.40.001) and NIST’s published post-quantum cryptographic standards.
  • Exploring the deployment scenarios in which their respective architectures could be paired, including private, sovereign, and government-federated deployments.

This alignment does not, at this stage, constitute a joint product, a technical integration, or a co-commitment between the parties beyond the collaborative activities described above. Each company’s claims regarding its own platform’s capabilities and production status remain that company’s own to state and evidence. Deeper technical integration, if pursued, would be the subject of future announcements.

About SkyeConnex

SkyeConnex Corporation, based in Ottawa, Canada, provides a Data Sovereignty as a Service (DSaaS) platform built on the premise of sovereignty by architecture rather than by promise. At its core, the Raidr.cloud engine is designed to apply client-side encryption, jurisdictionally-aware erasure coding, and a signed evidence layer so that no single provider — or party compelling that provider — can access, link, or reconstruct a customer’s stored data. More information is available at skyeconnex.com.

About Q-M Networks

Q-M Networks Inc., based in Calgary, Canada, is a pre-commercial company developing a cloud-native mobile network designed to be quantum-safe from its first day of operation. Its architecture is built around a new network core with no legacy system to migrate, and is designed to deploy as a facilities-based operator (MNO) on its own licensed spectrum where a community needs coverage, or as a virtual operator (MVNO) across a host network to match the needs of each market. It is designed to apply quantum-safe protection across authentication, routing, and data sessions. More information is available at qmnetworks.ca.

“Quantum-safe” describes an architecture designed to resist anticipated quantum computing threats using post-quantum cryptographic methods; no cryptographic system should be represented as unconditionally unbreakable.
